MobilityFund’s Expanded Global Reach
The trusted investor and advisor to teams at the forefront of the mobility revolution
Friends, colleagues - I want to share what an exciting moment this is for both MobilityFund and the broader transportation community. When we started MobilityFund six years ago, the world of mobility was much smaller – and accordingly we focused on early-stage, European B2B mobility. But as our organization has grown, so too have our ambitions; I’m pleased to share some amazing new members of the MobilityFund, working across the globe as we deepen our commitment to mobility disruption, and expand our scope to offer more services to our growing network of clients and LPs.
We’re now over 20 partners strong, a mix of founders and funders spanning Europe, Asia, and LatAm, with outstanding expertise and unparalleled access to dealflow. I encourage you to check out our revised website to see them all, but to shout out a few names: Horace Dediu, famed analyst who coined the term micromobility; Tatiana Quiros, who co-founded Toyota Kinto in Costa Rica and is a transport specialist for the World Bank; Mark Joseph, former CEO of Transdev; Gabriel Scheer, who is Director of Innovation at Elemental Accelerator after scaling Lime; and many more.
Our expanded team helps guide investments in our latest fund – we’ve already deployed capital into six captivating startups, including Colonia and Flowfox – with our boots on the ground discovering promising companies in key mobility markets the world over.
One of the developments I’m excited about is the launch of our advisory services, which I’m proud to say have already made a mark for a number of our clients: marquee OEMs and tier 1 suppliers, dealership groups looking to stay ahead of the curve, energy companies that want to be a part of the coming change, financial services orgs that have an eye to the future, and more. We’ve been working on their behalf to secure cutting-edge technology, accelerate GTM planning, and leverage new strategic investments. The entrepreneur in me is especially excited to see the amazing new businesses that will be borne by combining the best strengths of successful corporations with impressive new ideas bubbling out of the startups we track.
In the many years that Jan and I have spent working in the transportation space, we truly think this moment is the most opportune for not only our organization, but the whole world of mobility. Stay tuned for more updates in the near future, and as always – if you have any questions, or want to get more deeply involved in the transition to mobility’s future – please reply back to this email.
