Horace Dediu and Anders Hedgren join MobilityFund to strengthen investment in micromobility
MobilityFund is pleased to announce that Horace Dediu and Anders Hedgren have joined as partners in the MobilityFund. Horace, originator of the term “Micromobility” and recognized visionary in the sector, is also an active entrepreneur, investor and scholar in disruptive technologies. Anders is a seasoned M&A advisor, serial entrepreneur and investor specialized in the cycling sector and a board member of Cycling Industries Europe. Both partners significantly enhance MobilityFund’s position as a preferred investor in early-stage Mobility start-ups across all key areas of disruption:
“The MobilityFund team is thrilled to welcome Horace and Anders to our team”, says Sam Baker, Managing Partner at MobilityFund. “We invested in a number of promising technologies in micromobility and are affirming our belief in the sector by bringing on such respected leaders from the sector to help us identify and nurture the next wave of talented entrepreneurs”
“Light electric vehicles is the fastest growing vehicle market in the world”, says Horace Dediu. “The premise is simple: small cars for small trips, big cars for big trips. Finding the right investment approach is more complex: a value chain of hardware and software has emerged to support the range of services needed to support the market growth including advanced materials, financing, insurance, safety, connectivity, energy and fleet optimization, commercialization and more. Our mission is to identify the biggest technological levers to invest in that accelerates the adoption of micromobility in everyday life”
